Aries Osteopathic Health Clinic was established in 1996, and was opened to provide musculoskeletal services to the community. At this time, Osteopathy was not known by many. In fact, the first few years were spent in educating local groups as to what ‘Osteopathy’ is.

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is about treating the cause and not just the symptoms, and it is very much a holistic approach, looking at each individual as a whole and not just looking at where the pain and/or symptoms are.

At Aries Osteopathic Health Clinic we treat all ages, from newborns, using Cranial Osteopathy, through to childhood and adulthood, using Structural and/or Cranial Osteopathy.

By treating each individual as a whole, we aim to restore functionality and balance through the body to the best of our capability. For some, this may be treating a problem that has occurred recently and for others, a problem that has been ongoing for many years. In newborns, we aim to aid those that may have had traumatic entry to the world. Older children sometimes have issues through growth or trauma.

We are highly trained to assess and diagnose problems that may need referral to medical specialists. Our governing body, the General Osteopathic Council, maintain rigorous standards that as a profession we must adhere to, and we ensure that our professional development is maintained at all times.
